Foundation Coaching Diploma

Getting started the right way with a Coaching Career in the Equestrian Industry!

Why is there such a HUGE DISCOUNT
 on this course?

That is a good question!

These Diploma courses are in the ‘Beta Testing’ phase as they are very new on our scope of courses. We need some students who already have extensive knowledge skills with horses as well as the available time to test these courses using the fast track method over the next three months.

If that sounds like you then you could be in luck!

While every care and attention has been taken while they were being prepared,  we are only human and may have missed something.

Don’t worry, it could only be that a link isn’t working or there are a couple of typos on a page or another similar error.

The courses themselves should be up to the same high standard as all of our other courses that have been specifically customised for the equine industry.

But this offer will only last until the end of June!

If you are still not sure and would like to talk to one of our friendly staff, simply call them on (07) 3102 5498.

But do it soon because this offer really will finish at the end of November 2022

How Long Will My Fast Track Scholarship Course Take?

Ideally, less than three months!

Normally, these Diploma course are taught over 12 months. (4 x 10 week terms = 40 weeks at 20 hours per week – total 800 hours)

However, if you already have substantial skills and knowledge in the equestrian industry then it could take much less!

We have just put the final touches on this course and need to ‘Beta Test’ everything before we offer it as a full fee paying course to the general public.

Don’t worry, this course is Government accredited and has already been through substantial testing by our staff. We just need some more people who will go through the course and test everything in order as a full fee paying student will do.

As a bonus to you, we are offering you a partial scholarship (80% Off) while you beta test one of these three Coaching Diploma courses. Nothing should be wrong with the actual course, but we need to test that everything has been put together in a logical order, all the technology is ok, the links work and there are no obvious typos.

If you are someone who already has substantial knowledge of the equestrian industry and are interested in a coaching career or if you are already part way through your Equestrian Australia coach certificate training, and you have the time and energy to work hard to fast track your way through your Diploma course to be finished by Sunday 25th September 2022 then this is the course for you!

However if you prefer to enrol in this course part time or to take a longer period of time then please talk to us about a full fee paying course.

The Terms and Conditions of your Fast Track Diploma course can be found here.

Are There Any Practical Tasks Within My Course?

Of course! Horses are live animals and learning about horse behaviour, especially when they are ridden and the risk involved in coaching is an essential part of this course.

To meet the practical coaching components of the course;

  • Please use our checklist to confirm the requirements of a suitable equestrian environment to gain further practical experience with horses https://www.InternationalHorseCollege.com/equestrian-environment-checklist
  • A combination of practical skills and theoretical knowledge are the main requirements for this qualification and these skills will be developed throughout the course.
  • There are a few options to complete the practical requirements of this course, depending on your location, time available and other commitments.
  • You may be required to attend equestrian competitions as a trainer or competitor so it will be an advantage if you are already a regular competitor
  • There may be some components of your course that may be completed by RPL from prior qualifications, references or third party reports.
  • A popular option is for assessment of practical tasks to be done by video. There are instructions for the submission of video (usually through YouTube.com) within your course content.
  • If any resubmissions are required, you will receive feedback from our qualified trainer assessors and EA Coach Educators.
  • If you live in South-East Queensland or are able to travel to South-East Queensland then you can attend our live-in practical coaching workshops to complete your practical coaching assessments. These workshops including teaching and assessment by our EA Coach Educators.
  • There is no additional charge for the live-in practical workshops, the bunk house accommodation, horses, facilities, training and assessment fees are all included in your fast track course . . . although you will need to bring your own groceries and cook for yourself!
  • You may also be required to self assess and peer assess your practical activities with horses. A peer may be some-one with around the same experience as you with horses. They do not need to hold any qualifications and act as a mirror to mark off your checklist as you complete your activities.
  • We may also conduct some verbal assessments during phone calls or web tutorials.  Some of the practical assessments may be simulated when it is impractical to assess in a realistic setting.
  • Your EA Coach Educators at your live-in course assess you on your EA Introductory and Level 1 coaching assessments at the same time as your Diploma coaching assessments.  If you prefer to use your local Coach Educator, there is an application process that must be completed prior to commencing your training with them.

Our Happy Students

“As a horse lover, owner/rider and pony club instructor I have been using the online course . . . (Working with Horses) for the last two years with 3 high school students. I have found the course interesting and engaging and all three girls have completed the course and gained their accreditation.
Personally I enjoy getting the emails that Glenys sends out as they always contain so much good down to earth information and always on varying topics.
The content has never failed to resonate with my own years of experience and personal feelings for the horse. I keep them all in a special file and revisit when I want a boost.
Well done Glenys and the team.”
