Are you an exerienced instructor who needs a qualification?
This is a fast track method for those who are already operating a business and have at least 100 hours of teaching experience.
If you would like to teach competitive riders and progress through to a higher level of teaching, the Equestrian Horseriding Instructor course is the best one for you.
The Recreation Horseriding Instructor course will give you a professional qualification to teach people how to ride.
This Statement of Attainment qualification includes teaching people the basics so they can enjoy their recreational horse riding safely.

They are;
a) St Johns First Aid (or equivalent) which should be completed by an external provider. There is some more information about this course on this link http://stjohn.org.au/first-aid-training or contact your local St Johns.
(This is a recommended co-requisite only which would be delivered by an external provider at a cost to the student. It is not required for those teaching in a commercial environment where there is always a First Aider available who holds this unit or equivalent qualifications.)
b) Australian Sports Commission Online Community Coaching course. Please visit this page to Enrol (no charge) https://learning.ausport.gov.au/auth/login/
Next to the yellow Login button, there is an option to register.
(This is a recommended co-requisite only, but would complement your teaching skills and would be a step towards an equestrian coaching qualification)
There is some flexibility within these units. If you would like to complete additional units within your Fast Track Instructor course then please talk to us.
We may have already completed one or some of these units within another one of our courses, please let us know so we can apply a discount to your course.
You must have extensive previous experience teaching horse riding (at least 100 hours) and be over 18 years of age to commence this course.
If you do not meet these pre-requisites, please look at our Horse Riding Instructor course. The Horse Riding Instructor is a full certificate course and is delivered over a longer period of time which will allow you to establish the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified Horse Riding Instructor.
On successful completion of the ‘Recreation Horseriding Instructor’ course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment with the above units from the AHC32822 Certificate III in Rural Operations.
We want you to be qualified in the latest, most up to date courses. If the Training Package changes while you are enrolled then we will do our best to change your course into the new Training Package as early as possible.
Also, we monitor the latest demands of the horse industry and we continually update our courses to meet these demands and to give you the best course possible.
